Challenge
Public awareness, engagement, and support are vital to CIB's mission. For the government to promote its policies successfully, it needs buy-in from citizens and decision-makers at all levels of society.
An effective web presence is crucial to obtaining this buy-in. The CIB needed a logo and website appearance that would draw in visitors and encourage them to learn more. They also required web-based systems for hosting public events and seminars and collecting attendee information. CIB brought Cloud Interactive on board to polish their web presence and make engaging their supporters easy and impactful.

Solutions
After the Cloud Interactive team came to an understanding of the CIB website's developmental goals and needs, we provided a comprehensive bilingual (Chinese/English) design solution. We started with logo design and visual web design and later built up front-end and back-end database systems.
When it came to visual design, our designers aimed to convey peace through a new color scheme. They used warm yellow and black (symbolizing the darkness of torture) and a handshake icon to represent the hope of curbing violence.
Then, through a responsive web design process, we optimized the user experience across devices. To properly promote the Convention Against Torture, we built up an event registration page enabling CIB to host public campaigns and seminars. This page efficiently gathers attendee information while taking into account the website's privacy policy.
In all, this project has allowed the public to identify the key content and spirit of the United Nations Convention against Torture through the internet, successfully assisted the government in promoting its policy, and spread the message of peace and tolerance.
